The Partnership and Plan

The Partnership
The Partnership is a way for people locally to get involved and contribute to decisions about how their area can be improved. The way it comes together and works is really important in making sure that Big Local DY10 is a genuinely local, resident and volunteer-led programme.
The role of the partnership is to:

We meet on a monthly basis, where we oversee and make decisions concerning the delivery of the Big Local project. You don’t have to have been a member from the start, we are always looking for new people to join – if you are interested in getting involved please get in touch.

Partnership Meetings are held every third Wednesday of the month, 7.00 p.m. at Springfield Park Portacabin.

“Bringing together local talent, ambitions, skills and energy from individuals and organisations who want to make their area an even better place to live”

The Plan

After collecting the opinions and visions of the diverse members of our area, we created our Big Local Partnership to guide the overall direction of Big Local in our area. Resident Brenda Lines has been elected Chair of the Partnership.

Brenda Lines, Chair of the DY10 Partnership says:

I am proud to have been elected Chair of Partnership which will introduce this resident inspired plan. Our DY10 Big Local area has been developing the principle of being ‘community led’ for many years. We already have established groups of residents who volunteer for many locally led schemes. We want to build on our history and attract others to join us in this exciting journey as we deliver our plan.

In March 2022 our final plan was submitted and approved.
