Big Local DY10 Photo Competition Launched!

The Big Local DY10 Photo Competition has been launched! You don’t need fancy equipment or lots of experience just an idea on what type of image would capture the ‘spirit’ of the Big Local area Entries are welcome from all ages and photographs will be judged in 3 categories (under 11, 11-17 and 18+). Photographs can be taken with any type of camera (including camera phones).15 photographs will be shortlisted and printed onto canvas to form a photo exhibition which will be displayed around the area. 1 winner from each category will each receive a digital camera as a prize!

In addition to this we will be holding a series of workshops in the 4 primary schools within the Big Local area to encourage young people to get involved with the project and will be holding 2 community photographic workshops so that people can get used to using cameras, learn some hints and tips on talking great pictures and get to know the Big Local area a bit better.
